Terms of Service

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Proverbially (the “Service”) is operated by Konscious Love LLC (“we”, “us”), a Texas limited liability company. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. What the Service is

Proverbially is a web-based party game. Players are shown the first half of a real proverb, invent a fake ending, and vote on which ending is genuine. It includes a free Base Pack and optional paid proverb packs.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

3. Accounts

You do not need an account to play the free content. An account is created automatically, using the email address you provide, the first time you buy a pack.

4. Purchases

5. Your content and conduct

During a game, the endings you write are shown to the other players in your room. You are responsible for what you write. Do not submit anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Please know: we do not review, filter, or moderate what players type. Answers are shown only to the players in your room — they are never reused elsewhere in the app or shown to anyone outside it. They are held in the server’s memory, are never written to disk, and are discarded when the server restarts. Play with people you trust, and be mindful that the game is often played with family.

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone misusing the Service.

6. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uptime. In particular, a game in progress may be interrupted or lost if the server restarts, and rooms are temporary by design — game data is not saved after a game finishes. Your purchases are stored separately and are not affected by this.

7. Intellectual property

The proverbs themselves are traditional sayings drawn from the public domain and from cultures around the world; we claim no ownership of them. We do own the Service itself — its software, design, written explanations of each proverb, and the selection, arrangement, and curation of the packs. Please don’t copy, scrape, or redistribute the packs or the app.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) five U.S. dollars. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the above applies only to the extent permitted.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we consent to that venue.
